The Association is privileged to have Bro Simon Bouda, journalist and television presenter as its guest speaker at the October Luncheon.
Simon began1007_simonbouda his career in journalism in 1976 with News Limited. Over the years he has worked for the Daily Telegraph, the Northern Daily Leader, the Daily Mirror and The Sun covering everything from finance to police rounds
In 1990, he joined Nine News as an assistant chief of staff and in 1992, began an eight-year-stint as chief crime reporter for Nine News. He reported on high-profile stories including the Sydney bushfires, the Ivan Milat backpacker murders case and the Thredbo landslide tragedy.
In 2000, he moved to London to work as a Nine News correspondent and reported on all major news events in Europe and the Middle East including the war in Afghanistan, September 11, the deaths of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret, the Manchester Commonwealth Games and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Simon also at the moment is travelling across America on his motorbike in support to Black Dog Ride from Sunday 13th September – Saturday 3rd October 2015.

Black Dog Ride across America – Channel 9, Today Show Live Cross 12th September 2015

“Black Dog Ride began in 2009 as one man’s ride to raise awareness of depression, developing into the national suicide prevention charity involving thousands of Australian motorcycle riders who’ve raised over $2,000,000 for mental health services, fostering mental health awareness around the country.
